Digital Designer

Catalyst is hiring a full-time Production Designer to support the needs of Catalyst clients by designing and scheduling billboards. It is also an opportunity for a talented individual to play a role in the evolution of the organization by improving processes, designing brand materials, and helping to define Catalyst as an innovative and inspirational company.

In addition to being creative, the ideal candidate must be extremely organized, detail oriented, time efficient, and proficient in Adobe Creative studio with the ability to learn new software programs. The Production Designer should be a highly motivated individual who is eager to accept additional responsibilities when needed.

Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Work with sales team to understand client creative needs and manage pipeline of requests

  • Create design, concepts, and sample layouts to support client Out Of Home (OOH) requests as well as internal needs

  • Use in house software to program artwork to digital sign faces accurately

  • Maintain, track and ensure all campaigns are running accurately

  • Run and check weekly reports to ensure ad campaigns are running as should be

  • Meet all deadlines, and ensure timely turn-around of artwork

  • Assist in promoting Catalyst on Social Media by designing images to post on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and other social media platforms

  • Manage website updates and stay up to date with current design trends and Catalyst branding

  • Take weekly images of new artwork on sign faces to be sent to clients as needed

  • Meet occasional off hours’ design needs for clients

  • Stay up to date on best practices for OOH design, and serve as a resource to the sales team and client on how to improve the effectiveness of design

  • Work directly with some municipalities, non-profits, and clients to discuss and get approval for creative

  • Assist in other marketing and company strategies and tasks as requested.


  • Excellent design and written and oral communication skills

  • Strong sense of composition and conceptual thinking

  • Sophisticated sense of color typography, photography, and color theory

  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects, solve problems, and apply critical thinking

  • Possess strong computer skills, especially Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office

  • Have your own reliable transportation

  • Experience in a production environment or scheduling production a plus

  • Experience with OOH design

  • Basic understanding of HTML/CSS and other current web technologies a plus

  • Must excel in a fast-paced environment with ability to multi-task proficiently

  • Must be willing to work beyond the 40-hour work week and respond to off-hours requests for assistance as needed
